Consumer Reports Best Shopping Websites ’12

In the November 2012 issue of Consumer Reports magazine, they rate 52 of the largest online retailers for value, customer support and more.  They also surveyed more than 28,000 of its subscribers to find out which online websites are their favorite, and the highest-rated sites included:

“Zappos also has a good return policy. You have a year to return something, and Zappos picks up the cost,” said Consumer Reports’ Tony Giorgianni.

REI.com also received a high rating as shoppers can return or replace items any time instore or online. Giorgianni also suggests shopping at sites like Walmart that provides the “site-to-store” option of having the item delivered to the store to save on shipping costs.

Websites that didn’t “make the grade” and rated near the bottom included 1-800 Flowers, Ticketmaster and FTD.
