Don’t Forget to Tip your Hairdresser
Great Clips recently opened a store near us, and put out coupons for $2.99 haircuts! I have been trimming the girls’ hair myself, but figured for only $2.99, they could get a “real” haircut and save me the hassle! I ended up tipping the gals well, and I still got cheap haircuts. I was surprised that nearly no one else tipped the hairdressers. People got their $2.99 haircut and left, so I felt sorry for them.
I may be frugal with my kids’ hair, but I am willing to pay a little more for my own. I started going to Wanda seven years ago when we were both pregnant with our youngest daughters. We even went to the same OB doctor. I wore glasses at the time (before Lasik), and she was the only hairdresser I had ever met that let me wear my glasses while she worked on my hair. I so hated sitting there not being able to see. She is also the fastest perm roller I have ever had, and with my long hair, it takes awhile. I just got a new perm yesterday, and the new perm smell is still lingering. I am anxious to be able to wash it tomorrow.
