Halloween Costumes and Accessories are currently 90% off at Target, and Halloween Candy is 70% off, so that’s what filled the bulk of my red cart today. I wish I would’ve gotten there earlier for a better selection, although I’m sure I would’ve spent way more than $6 on things I don’t need. But it’s so hard to resist a good deal! And here’s the lowdown of my purchases…

- $2.50/2 coupon (P&G 10/31)

This is an exciting post for me to write as you not only get to see what I dressed up as for Halloween, but you can win your very own Oreck Forever Gold vacuum cleaner if you keep reading…
My previous house had a central vacuum system, so I didn’t have the need for a “nice” vacuum. I had an el-cheapo vacuum that I used when I didn’t feel like lugging around the big, heavy 30 feet hose, especially up and down the stairs.
I wanted to invest in a good vacuum cleaner for my new house, especially since I invested in all new carpet throughout. So when Oreck offered me the chance to review their new Oreck Forever Series Gold, I was estatic!
When Oreck’s Social Media Specialist told me that I’ll never have to buy another vacuum again, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical, especially with my luck with vacuums. I swear when my kids were little, we were buying a new vacuum cleaner every year or so, spending anywhere from $50 – $80 a pop. I’m sure if we had invested in an Oreck vacuum cleaner (current prices range from $199 to $599) right away, we would have saved a lot of headaches and money. Live and learn, right?
So besides this Oreck Forever Series Gold having a limited lifetime (yes, lifetime!) warranty, my favorite part about it is that it only weighs 9 pounds! I thought about holding it over my head for a pose to show you just how light it actually is, but 1) my ceilings aren’t high enough and 2) isn’t me in a Halloween costume cuter? I also love the long 35 foot power cord, so I don’t have to plug-in in several times to reach all areas of the house.
I did miss the VacPan kick plate from my central vac system, but I have even been using my Oreck vac on my hard-surfaced floors instead of sweeping, and the included edge brushes scoop up the crumbs right up by the base boards, FTW! I wouldn’t go as far to say that I now love to vacuum (as I hate to clean), but I’m now happy to vacuum with my new Oreck!
Okay, if you’d stayed with me this far, Oreck wants to give one of my readers a Oreck Forever Series Gold vacuum cleaner ($499.99 value), too! That’s you! Enter here:
Good Luck! Contest starts now and ends 11/30/11 at 09:59 pm CST. Limit one entry (plus bonus entries) per person. Duplicate entries will be deleted. US mailing addresses only, ages 18+.
Disclosure: A Oreck Forever Series Gold vacuum cleaner was provided to me at no cost to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own. The giveaway is administered by Key Internet Marketing, Inc. and the prize will be fulfilled directly from Oreck.
