I love all the companies offering Pink Ribbon Deals for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, from pink shoes to pizza – my three favorite things (the color pink, shoes and pizza)!
When you purchase specially-marked packages of FRESCHETTA® pizzas and Artisan Pizza Crusts, you will helping donate to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Specially marked packages are printed with codes that you can enter at ProudtoSupportPink.com. For each code entry, the markers of FRESCHETTA will donate $1 to this center (up to $50,000) to support breast cancer research. The site has a place for people to share their breast cancer journey to inspire others. They are also giving away 50 pink iPod shuffle players each week in October to participants and another 50 will be donated to breast cancer patients during treatments. Plus they are offering a giveaway exclusive to ShoppingKim readers…
Yes, I know I’ve been slacking on the Mailbox Mondays, and I hope to get a new webcam to start doing them again. But I got so many packages this past week, that I got out my FlipCam to share with you. One of the perks of having a shopping blog is that companies send me cool stuff. Here’s a rundown…
Sylvania SilverStar ULTRA headlights are up to 50 percent brighter, increase down road visibility by up to 40 percent and side road visibility by up to 50 percent when compared to worn standard bulbs – I am anxious to try these out to see if they help with my night blindness.
Soleil compact ballet flats – these will be perfect to carry in your handbag for when your heels start to hurt – I will review them for Shoeaholics Anonymous.

But I did want to thank everyone for all of the birthday wishes I have received via email, text, phone calls, Facebook and Twitter. I feel lucky to have so many caring friends and family!
Today has already been quite productive, and it’s still early! I got my stuff ready for my Healthy Choice House Party…
And I brought birthday treats today to my Kiwanis meeting. Since I had a small fire in my oven, it no longer works! So, I opted for No Bake Cookies (which obviously require no baking), and have had a few requests for the recipe, so here goes…
No Bake Cookies Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 c. white sugar
3 TBsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. milk
1 pinch salt
3 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
In saucepan, bring sugar, coca, margarine, milk and salt to a rapid boil for one minute. Add quick cooking oats, peanut butter and vanilla. Mix well. Working quickly, drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper and let cool.
I usually make a double or triple batch because everyone loves these at my house!
++++++++
Now to get ready for the rest of the day! What should I buy myself for my birthday? I’m torn between these shoes and/or this shirt!
