The older I get, the more I find myself not skimping on purchases. I don't think it's due to the fact that I don't have to be as money conscious as I was as a single mom of four little kids. My kids are now almost grown, and I think I see the value in more things. Either that, or my skin is more sensitive, as the things I now refuse to buy generic, cheap versions of are certain cosmetics, such as foundation and eyeliner, and razors, although I do still try to buy those items on sale and use coupons if available.
Although I pamper myself with expensive toiletries, I still buy bargain items for my kids. Maybe it's the whole “when I was your age…” adage. Or I'm selfish. I think it's the combination of both. They sure don't appreciate cheap toilet paper.
Well that can to a halt when I took my daughter, Tatym, to the doctor recently for a staph infection on her legs. The doctor seriously asked her if she used “cheap razors” to which Tatym gave me “the look”. He suggested we invest in razors with multiple, flexible blades.
Imagine Tatym's delight when we received a Gillette Venus Swirl Razor along with Gillette Venus with a Touch of Olay Sugarberry Bliss Shave Gel from SheSpeaks to review.
I don't think I've ever seen Tatym so excited to shave her legs! The poor girl has dark, coarse hair like me, so shaving frequently is a must during short and swimsuit season (she works as a water park).
One word summed up Tatym's review: FANTASTIC
The Gillette Venus Swirl Razorhas 5 (five) contour blades and Flexiball technology that contours to every curve for flawless skin and leaves legs flawlessly smooth. Therefore, this razor is doctor approved!

Venus created the “Choose Your Smooth” campaign matching the Venus Swirl for the “perfectionist” lifestyle. That's definitely Tatym! The Venus & Olay razor is for the “multitasker” because there is no need for shave cream, and the Venus Disposable is for the “on-the-go-girl” because it's disposable. Which razor would you choose? You can find Venus razors at everyday low prices at Walmart.
