On the Today Show this morning, they featured CANSTRUCTION, a National Charity of the Design and Construction Industry created by the Society for Design Administration. Competing teams, lead by architects and engineers, showcase their talents by designing giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods. At the close of the exhibitions all of the food used in the structures is donated to local food banks for distribution to pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, elderly and day care centers. I would love to see one of these exhibits in person, as the pictures are spectacular.

Cyndi Lauper also sang on the Today Show this morning. She was one of my idols from the 80’s. While in NYC this week, we got to see Kenny Chesney perform outside the ABC Studios. We arrived too late outside the NBC Studios to see anyone. Katie Couric is one of my current idols. I’ve obviously grown up.
