We all want to have the best-looking house on the block – heck, even in the city. Our homes show off who we are, and the world deserves to see all of our best sides.
Unfortunately, your house does not do you justice.
You've tried to do something with it, but it continues to look way too simple, outdated, and just plain sad. It's kind of hard to make any real changes without breaking the bank though, right?
Wrong. There are a ton of tips on how to decorate on a budget and make your house look even better than your neighbors – and we're going to show you how.

Cheap Tips on How to Decorate on a Budget
Here are just a few things that you can do to decorate your home and bring it to pristine condition. Find out more about it here.
Add Some Wallpaper
We all know how expensive paint can be. Just one room can easily cost you over $100 when the project is completed, and some of us just don't have that kind of money to throw on every room in the house.
That's ok, though, because there's wallpaper.
Adding wallpaper to a room is a great alternative to painting, and looks just as good – if not, better. You can add your own look and feel to the area, from just a simple shade to complex patterns.
You can even customize your wallpaper to give it your own flair, and you can add as much or as little as you want in the room. Now, where's the problem in that?
Replacing the Mirrors
Replacing the mirrors in your home is an effective way of upgrading the vibe without murdering the wallet.
Mirror replacement has become popular in recent years, and for good reason. House designs haven't changed much at all lately, so instead of spending thousands on a complete renovation, simply replacing your mirrors should do the trick.
Mirrors can add a sort of flair that sets off your house and is unique to who you are as an individual. There are a large array of mirrors that you could choose, from plane mirrors, to wall mirrors, to convex mirrors, so there's always a style for you.
For some reason, bookshelves just make everything better. They give off this perfect vibe of sophistication and subtle beauty, and it makes it all the better that they can actually be useful and hold important items.
And here's the thing: they work everywhere. Want to upgrade your den? Add a bookshelf. How about that living room? Throw in a bookshelf. Game room? Ditto. Your room? Also ditto. There's no limit to where a bookshelf can go.
Once it's set up, you can add items to it that are unique to the room the shelf is in, further adding flair (and usefulness!) to the shelf.
Case and point: if you have any space to add a bookshelf in the room, do it.
