Monkey Bread Recipe

It was always a treat when my mom would make monkey bread for breakfast on Saturday mornings when cartoons were on. This monkey bread recipe was one of the first recipes I got from my mom when I moved out, and I still love monkey bread any day of the week with an ice cold glass of milk!

Monkey Bread Recipe


  • 2 tubes canned biscuits
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • dash nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup nutmeats (optional)


Monkey Bread Recipe

Mix granulated sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut each biscuit into quarters and roll in to sugar and spice mixture. Put pieces in greased bundt pan.

Bring margarine and brown sugar to a boil. Add nutmeats if desired. Pour on top of biscuits in bundt pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.


I usually use 3 tubes of biscuits as there is always extra sugar mixture, and that way there is more monkey bread to enjoy!
