I ran a chemical complex and many of my hourly operating technicians made six figures with two year degrees, or just high school. And this was in low cost of living Arkansas five years ago. Our local community had an associates degree just to train students for jobs like ours. We also had a number of four year and even grad degree holders working those jobs because they paid so well and the work was interesting.
