If you are confined to your house and need something today, there are several stores that allow you to place your online that offer same day delivery of your purchase. And since you are paying online, there will be no money exchanged, so you have less interaction.
The stores listed below are all “big box” stores that are available in most areas since our website visitors are from all over the country. That being said, since I'm a small business owner, I also like to support other small business owners, so I also recommend contacting small businesses in your area to ask if they offer delivery. Most small businesses appreciate the extra business and will go out of their way for new and existing customers.

Stores That Offer Same Day Delivery
Amazon
Amazon offers Same-Day Delivery on up to three million items in select areas. See if it's available in your area. Prime members receive free delivery on qualifying orders over $35. Those without a Prime membership have to pay $9.98 per item. Not a Prime member? Get a FREE 30-Day trial through our link to save delivery charges.
Best Buy
Best Buy offers same-day delivery 7 days a week. If you order online before 3 pm (2 pm on Sunday), you will see a same-day delivery option at checkout. Same-day delivery orders will arrive by 9 pm. See if same-day delivery is available in your zip code.
Instacart
Instacart offers food and grocery delivery from local stores on demand. See if Instacart is available in your area. Place your order and a personal shopper will select items based on your preferences. You can receive your order in as little as one hour.
Macy's
Macy's same-day delivery is available in select cities. See Macy's page to enter your zip code (scroll down on the page) to check availability in your area. Select “Same-Day Delivery” at checkout. You must spend at least $99, and the delivery charge is $8.00.
Shipt
Shipt (owned by Target) will deliver groceries, healthcare supplies, baby items, household cleaning supplies, electronics and even alcohol to your door in as soon as one hour from any of the stores listed below on orders over $35. A Shipt membership is $8.25 per month if billed annually ($99/year) or $14 per month billed monthly. You must place your order through the Shipt app or website so the links below are for reference only. More Shipt store options may be available in your location.

CVS offers same-day, home delivery of prescriptions for $7.99 (they are waiving this fee during time of crisis)

If Shipt will not deliver Target orders in your area, you can still order online at Target.com and take advantage of their Drive Up service, and they will bring the order right out to your car. You must shop via the Target App to select the Drive Up option at check out.
If you don't have a Target RedCard yet, I highly recommend it as you save an additional 5% off on every purchase online and in store. It's free to get a RedCard, and you have the choice of a credit card or debit card connected to your bank account.
Walmart
Walmart Grocery offers same-day delivery of grocery orders to more than 40% of U.S. households. If Walmart doesn't offer same-day delivery in your area, you can still order online at Walmart.com (and you're not limited to groceries) with free curbside pickup. A Walmart employee will bring your order outside to your automobile to avoid crowd interaction.
Walmart recently announced Walmart InHome Delivery that will deliver fresh groceries right into your fridge, even if you're not home. All InHome delivery associates have had four different background checks run on them, and they have worked in a Walmart store for at least one year.
Services That Offer Same Day Delivery
1. DoorDash
DoorDash delivers food from your favorite restaurants. A “dasher” will pick up your to-go order and deliver it to wherever you are. Their app provides live order tracking so you can see exactly where your delivery driver is during the whole process.
2. Postmates
Postmates is primarily associated with food takeout delivery, but they will deliver just about any good. The Postmates delivery fee is $0.99–$3.99 for Partner Merchants and $5.99–$9.99 for all other stores, but they offer a FREE trial of their Unlimited service where you get free delivery on every order over $12. Once the free trial is over, the price for Unlimited is $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually.
3. TaskRabbit
TaskRabbit connects you to safe and reliable help in your neighborhood. “Taskers” can go shopping for you, help you move, do home repairs, furniture assembly and more. Choose your tasker by reviews, skills and price. You then chat, pay, tip and review all through their app.
