I shared my super-easy microwave fudge recipe with y'all as part of my Christmas Candy Recipes a few years back, but after my good friend, Jen Goode shared her Easy Fudge Recipe this year, I thought I'd share my recipe again (keep reading). Considering Jen's recipe has only three ingredients (compared to my five), it is obviously “easier”, but my ingredients are less expensive than hers, so “cheaper” per se. I guess I will have to make both now and compare taste! 🙂
Easy Microwave Fudge Recipe
- 1 lb. powdered sugar (half a bag)
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. margarine (1 stick)
- 1 tsp vanilla
Microwave all of the above ingredients (except the vanilla) together on high for 2 minutes. Then add 1 tsp vanilla (and optional ingredients such as marshmallows, nuts, etc). Pour into 8″ square pan (I use a silicone pan). Cool. Serve. Enjoy.

My mother recommends sifting the cocoa and powdered sugar together beforehand for best results (i.e. no lumps). But if you don’t have the time or energy (like me), simply add mini marshmallows (like I did, shown above) and no one will see any “lumps”!
