Pill cases are not just for prescription medication, this how to how to pack medicine for air travel!

I've been carrying a pill box around in my purse for years filled with ibuprofen, acetaminophen and the likes, and it has come in handy so many times, not only for me, but those around me who aren't feeling well! And I always make sure my pill case is filled to the brim before I travel as buying over-the-counter medication while traveling is so expensive. I cringe at the thought of paying more for two Advil capsules at a hotel lobby than it cost for me to buy a huge bottle of Advil that I have a home.

Make Your Own Travel Size Medicine Chest!

You can find pill boxes at a Dollar Tree store for only $1, or you can probably score a free pill case at a health fair like I one I used for the photo that has advertising on the side, which doesn't bother me at all.

You can even take this one step further, in case you're afraid you won't remember what pill is for what, by writing on each “day” on the pill box with a permanent marker. Or use a label maker and make some labels to mark your medicine.

Save money the next time you travel by bringing along your own travel pill box in your suitcase!
