Do-It-Yourself Homemade Italian Sausage Recipe

Italian sausage bought from the deli counter is so fragrant and flavorful, but it is also a bit expensive. Since we live on a farm, I decided to make my own Italian sausage concoction with our home raised meat. I’m so excited to share my delicious experiment! Do It Yourself Italian Sausage

Ingredients

  • 2# Ground Beef
  • 1 1/2# Ground Pork
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 3 tsp Jane’s Krazy Original Mixed-Up Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried Basil sweet leaf, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried Thyme leaf, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried Oregano leaf, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 small bunch Fresh Parsley, chopped

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well using your hands.

To bring out enhanced flavor of your dried herbs, crush them in the palm of your hand with your fingers; as shown.

I like to chop my fresh parsley with a kitchen shears.

Use this in your favorite recipes calling for Italian Sausage.
