What is Clearpay?
Clearpay is a payment service option that allows customers to borrow credit for the purchase made, and then the customer can pay back the amount to Clearpay in 4 installments without added interest.
This allows customers to make purchases without the lump sum readily available, opening them up purchases and purchase options that they potentially wouldn’t previously have had access to.
Afterpay, one of the first digital payment providers that allows people to pay in instalments free of charge on their debit or credit card, has now launched the same service in the UK under the name Clearpay. The service still goes by the name Afterpay in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Is Clearpay the same thing as Afterpay?
Clearpay is the same thing as Afterpay, it is just the UK version of the program.
Clearpay offers UK customers interest-free installment plans by splitting a purchase amount over 4 manageable fortnightly installments. The service is free to customers who pay on time, with no interest and no contracts.

Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States (Afterpay), the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain
How does Clearpay work?
Clearpay pays the sum to the retailer for the customer, and in return, the customer pays Clearpay in 4 installments every 2 weeks.
Does Clearpay impact my credit score?
Using the service Clearpay or having Clearpay check your interest-free credit score will not impact your score. Like any other credit service, you’ll want to pay your Clearpay installments on time.
Is Clearpay safe?
Clearpay is safe! Clearpay is guaranteed and is an official payment method on most sites today.
