It seems everyone has been bragging up how well the new Younique 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara works. I wanted to put it to the test but didn’t want to spend the $29.99 retail price that consultants are selling it for. So I turned to good ‘ole eBay and scored some for $17.50.
The instructions say to first put on a coat of your regular mascara. After adding a coat of the transplanting gel, immediately brush on the natural fibers stick and then follow up with another coat of transplanting gel to set the fibers. You can continue to repeat with more fibers and more transplanting gel.
In the above photo, can you tell which eye of mine is plain mascara and which is two applications of Younique? Not really, right?
The right (my left eye) is only Covergirl mascara (scored from a Target trip). The left (my right eye) is the two coats of 3D Fiber Lashes on top of my Covergirl mascara. Obviously my results are not good enough to be chosen as spokesmodel for Younique!
I felt like the “fibers” looks like black lint and after adding the transplanting gel, my lashes looked clumpy. And then my eyes itched after use which resulted in a headache. This happened the first time I used it, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. And now that I’m sitting here with the product on my just right eye, only my right eye itches and I have a headache on just my right side. Hmm.
So this mascara is not getting rave reviews from me. But my daughters seems to think it works for them and offered to take it off my hands. So if it works for you or you want to try for yourself, the best price I found was on eBay.com.
