The U.S. Department of Energy says that “You can easily save energy in the winter by setting the thermostat to 68°F while you’re awake and setting it lower while you’re asleep or away from home.” So, since I’m all about saving money (ie energy), I set my thermostat to 68°F, but this will take some getting used to because I am freezing right now in my double layers of clothing! I need to take the time to figure out how to adjust the settings to turn the heat down while we sleep, so I can I keep it a bit warmer during the day. Or if I get motivated enough to start working out to warm myself up…. I have such a long “wanna do” list!
Luckily my mother gave me some ultra-warm pajamas from JCPenney’s for Christmas, and I changed my bedding to the flannel sheets I got from Amazon. My washer gave me a scare, so I almost didn’t get my new sheets washed to use. I’m gonna wash another set today to put in the guest bedroom (it’s even cooler here on the lower level), but I gotta wait until I warm up enough to shed the blanket I’m wrapped up in!
