Are you worried about your kids getting into your guns? Or maybe you're just looking for a secure way to transport them across state lines. Nothing is more important than gun safety, so here are four things to keep in mind when you're in the market for a good gun case.

First things first: How big does your case need to be? How many parts, supplies and accessories does it need to hold? Some cases are made for specific guns; others can be customized to fit any firearm under a certain length and width.
You'll want a case with convoluted foam that both cradles your weapon and holds it in place. If your parts start slipping and rubbing against each other, you could damage them or even render the gun unusable.
For weapons storage, you'll need a case that can handle anything the world throws at it. Look for something strong, durable and airtight, and pay extra for things like waterproofing and humidity protection.
Does the case come with rust-resistant desiccant? Can it be dropped from great heights without damage to its goods? Manufacturers are always coming up with new ways to sell their cases, and their ingenuity is your gain.
