My aunt made this quilted Christmas tree when I was little with 25 yarn ties on it. My mom would tie small candy canes to it, and every day, starting December 1st, I would get to take one of the candy canes off and eat it.
My mom kept up the tradition with all four kids, upgrading from candy canes to Hershey's Kisses. She would tie two kisses for my younger brother and sister so they each got one. The tree has now been passed down to me, but I ran out of Kisses to fill it up!
Do you have any holiday traditions to count down the days until Santa Claus comes?
